Refer a friend to Wonder Watt and you both get a month free

Every Wonder Watt customer now has their own referral link. Pass it on to a friend with a home battery, and when they join and pay for their first subscription, you both get an extra month free.

Most of our customers found us through a recommendation, a forum thread or a Facebook group post. This is our way of saying thank you for that, and of making it worth your while to keep spreading the word.

At a glance

• What you get: one extra month of Wonder Watt for you and one for your friend, for each friend who joins and pays.
• When: the months are added after a 21-day grace period from your friend’s first payment.
• How it’s applied: on a renewing subscription, your next payment moves back a month; otherwise your subscription end date moves forward a month.
• Where to find your link: in the Wonder Watt app, under Subscription.
• Limit: up to 12 extra months a year for each person who refers.
• Who can be referred: anyone new to Wonder Watt, before their first payment, with a supported inverter.

How does the Wonder Watt referral programme work?

1. Share your link. You’ll find it in Wonder Watt under Subscription. Copy it, or share it straight to WhatsApp, Facebook, X, LinkedIn or email.

2. Your friend joins and pays. They sign up through your link, try Wonder Watt free for 14 days, and take out their first subscription.

3. You both get a month free. After a 21-day grace period from their first payment, an extra month is added for each of you.

Is the free month a real month off my bill?

Yes. If you pay by subscription, we move your next payment back by a month, so you simply aren’t charged for that month. If your subscription is set to end rather than renew, we add the month to your end date instead.

Can I share my referral link during my free trial?

Yes. Share away from day one. Your month is saved and added as soon as you’re on a paid plan.

What if my friend signed up without my link?

They can enter your referral code under Subscription at any time before their first payment, and it counts just the same.

Is there a limit to how many friends I can refer?

You can earn up to 12 extra months a year. Refer one friend a month and Wonder Watt could cost you nothing all year.

Where can I see my referrals?

Under Subscription in the Wonder Watt app. It shows each friend whose payment has earned you a month, by their Wonder Watt ID only (never their name or email), and whether that month is due or already added.

Who can use a Wonder Watt referral code?

Referrals are for bringing new homes to Wonder Watt, so a referral code can only be used before an account’s first payment, and referrals don’t work between accounts that share an email address or a subscription. If Wonder Watt works with your friend’s battery, the referral works too, whatever their tariff or inverter brand: see everything Wonder Watt works with. If a qualifying payment is refunded, the extra month is reduced to match.

A first look at Wonder Batt

Some of you have been helping us test something new. Wonder Batt plans your home battery around tomorrow’s electricity prices, your solar forecast and how your home actually uses energy. It replans every 15 minutes and sends your battery around 10 instructions a day, half of them while you’re asleep. There are no schedules to set up. You can read more about it on our features page.

The homes running it this autumn saved a median of £41 a month compared with leaving their battery to run itself.^* We’re getting it ready for more of you. Watch this space.

^* Median across 13 Wonder Batt beta homes on Octopus tariffs, September and October 2026, from their real plans checked against their meters. Savings vary by tariff, battery and season.

New to Wonder Watt?

Wonder Watt automates your home battery’s charging, discharging and export around your solar forecast and your tariff, including Octopus Agile and Intelligent Octopus Go. It runs in the cloud, so there’s no Home Assistant, no extra hardware and nothing to maintain.

It works with seven inverter brands: Growatt, GivEnergy, Solax, AlphaESS, Solis, FoxESS and Sunsynk. See everything Wonder Watt works with.

All you need to get started is a Google account. No upfront payment details, and 14 days free to decide whether it earns its keep. You can find our pricing information here. If a friend sent you here, sign up through their link, so you both get the extra month.
