Wonder Batt plans your battery around your tariff, tomorrow's solar forecast and how your home uses energy, then re-plans every 15 minutes as the day changes. No schedules to set up.
Every half hour for the next two days: when to charge from the grid, when to run your home from the battery, and when to sell.
It reads your solar forecast panel by panel, so it doesn't buy electricity the sun is about to give you for free.
It learns how your home uses energy through the day and plans around it, keeping enough back for the evening.
Agile, Intelligent Octopus Go, Flux, EDF FreePhase and more, import and export, read from your Octopus or EDF account and kept up to date.
When the forecast, your prices or your battery change, the plan changes with them, and your inverter follows.
It weighs each small trade against the wear on your battery, and never goes below the minimum you set.
...In the last 4 weeks, I've earned 64% more for the electricity I exported than I would have received on fixed 12p outgoing...
...My export revenue has increased 70% on average... This has been a game changer for me...
...Really delighted with [Wonder Batt] so far...
The default. Runs your home from the battery when that pays, holds charge back for genuinely cheaper times, and sells only what your home clearly won't need.
Sells to the grid whenever selling beats keeping, and works the battery hardest to do it. You choose how thin a margin it will take. Needs an export tariff.
Uses your stored solar but skips small top-ups and marginal trades. The gentlest on the battery.
Works with Growatt, GivEnergy, Solax, AlphaESS, Solis, FoxESS and Sunsynk inverters with a battery. See everything we work with.

Wonder Batt is Wonder Watt's fully automatic battery planner. It works out, half hour by half hour for the next 48 hours, when to charge your battery from the grid, when to run your home from it, and when to sell to the grid, then sends those instructions to your inverter. You don't set up any schedules.
With Wonder Watt's schedules you choose the windows and Wonder Watt adjusts them around the solar forecast and your prices. Wonder Batt plans everything itself: it weighs your tariff, tomorrow's solar forecast, how your home uses energy and your battery's charge, and re-plans every 15 minutes as things change.
Octopus Agile, Intelligent Octopus Go, Octopus Go, Flux and Cosy, EDF FreePhase Dynamic and Static, EDF GoElectric, British Gas Electric Driver, E.ON Next Drive, fixed and single-rate tariffs, or your own time of use rates. For export: Agile Outgoing, Prime Outgoing, Flux export or a fixed export rate. If you're with Octopus or EDF it can read your tariff from your account and keep it up to date.
The same as Wonder Watt: Growatt, GivEnergy, Solax, AlphaESS, Solis, FoxESS and Sunsynk inverters with a battery, through each manufacturer's own cloud. No extra hardware, Home Assistant or home server.
Wonder Batt is in an invite-only beta, opening to more homes a few slots at a time. Join the waitlist and we'll email you a one-off invite code when a slot opens up, or use a code from someone who already uses Wonder Batt. Each code can only be claimed by one person. Wonder Batt is included with your Wonder Watt subscription.
We're opening Wonder Batt a few homes at a time so we can make sure it works well for everyone who uses it. Every home, tariff and inverter is a little different, and while we grow we want to look after each new user properly rather than let in more people than we can support. New beta slots open as we're ready for more homes, and people on the waitlist are the first to hear.
Yes. Wonder Batt starts in trial mode: it plans as if it were running your battery and shows you what it would do, but sends nothing to your inverter until you turn trial mode off.
Wonder Batt only charges when it pays. On a sunny day the sun often fills the battery for free, so there is no need to buy electricity overnight. For a small top-up, such as covering the hour or two before sunrise, it also weighs the saving against the wear on your battery and the extra commands to your inverter, and leaves the battery alone when the saving is too small.
Yes. The plan shows the next 48 hours in one chart: import and export prices, expected solar, your home's usage, grid flows and your battery's charge, with every charge and export window marked, plus a plain-English summary of the next few things it will do.
